From time to time individual dogs rise to the foreground of the breed for their siring ability. Such is the case with the young Ch. Saxon Shore Roll of Thunder, JC.  With limited use, Mr. Bean is consistently producing exceptional quality offspring when put to bitches of varying bloodlines. Bean was selected Best Stud Dog at the 2000 AWC National Specialty.

He also was awarded Best Stud Dog twice at the prestigious Ontario Sighthound Association Specialty Show.  Mr.Bean has sired a number of champions: 22 Canadian, one World, 27 American & many others are pointed, with majors, including 3 different Specialty Best in Show daughters.  His puppies have been awarded Best of Winners at the AWC 2000 Specialty and Best of Breed (from the classes) at the AWC Eastern Specialty, and Best of Breed at the Canadian National Specialty.

Bean puppies have won multiple groups on both sides of the border, including a son awarded 2 groups and an all breed Best in Show (USA) from the puppy class.  Mr. Bean is Co-owned by Brushwood: Dennis Sumara, Brent Davis and Endeavor: Linda Stewart.

On  December 27, 2005, Mr. Bean, Saxon Shore Roll of Thunder, made his final journey and crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

Although he only lived with us for a very short two years, it was as if he was always part of our family. We often remarked how it seemed that he had always been with us. He was so full of exuberance and positive energy -- his little life seemed to always say "Yes!" Yes to life. Yes to running, to playing and -- above all -- to chasing balls. And even though suffering, he was ball-crazy to the very end.

His life was a flash, a moment of happy brilliance, not a fizzle.

And we know he certainly left quite a legacy. His little "roll of thunder"
reverberates through the lives of many people and now resonates in his
remarkable progeny. We were not in touch with his life as a show and lure
coursing champion -- we knew him as Beano, our little boy. Even though he
was such a large and robust whippet, next to our greyhound Cyrus he was
the "little boy." Big boy, little boy, three cat-guys, and two humans now
quieter, emptier, marked by an absence that hurts straight to the marrow.
But in spite of our heavy sadness we are grateful for having had Mr. Bean
in our lives, and we would gladly do so again and again, forever.
We now know at least one place where the Rainbow Bridge leads: it leads to
our hearts. When Mr. Bean crossed that bridge, he entered the hearts of
all those who loved him, where he will safely stay for always.

Goodbye, Mr. Bean. We love you, and we'll miss you more than you'll ever
know.
